This is a very effective and Fish-friendly rig used in Bank Angling. The spring makes it easier for groundbait to stick to the feeder when casting. The plastic insert can go over the top loop-knot which makes it possible for the feeder and hook to separate in case the main line break. The short line coming from the loop-knot helps provide just enough resistance to cause a bolt effect which will set the hook.
