How to put worms on the hook with the worm needle.
Here are a few simple steps to worm needle success...
Start by inserting the worm needle from the head side of the worm (the head side is the side where the saddle is located) and thread the worm onto the needle. Make sure to leave a loose tail by not threading the full length of the worm onto the needle.
The movement is very attractive to a fish and gives the hook bait a little life which makes the fish pick it up very quickly. The needle has a small hole at the back where you insert the tip of the hook, from here the worm slides over the needle, over the hook to the hook line with a short tail hanging down.
This is a very good presentation and one can easily string more than one worm on the hook. Because the worms are also strung on the line, they do not fall off so easily during the cast. (See photos in the galery)
