BANK ANGLER ANGLING CLUB -NSW
If you are a social or competitive angler living in NSW then this may well be the club for you. Our club's goal is to provide an environment which is safe, enjoyable and fair for everyone who attend or compete at any of our competitions or other events. Official Club Competitions are scheduled to be held on the first Saturday of each month and are open to all members and guests. Should exceptional circumstances prevail this date may be changed at a preceding general or committee meeting. We also plan to have a Mid-month Social Fishing session which will be held two weekends after the Official club competition. Details of the format, venue and duration will be communicated well in advance.
Other Club events will also be held and these mid-month meetings including casting competitions, fishing clinics, Fundraisers, Charity events etc.
The styles of fishing allowed during the monthly official club competitions are known as Bank Angling and Carp Specimen fishing. (See angling styles) . The reasons for focusing on these two angling styles are because they are in many ways very similar as well as easy and not very costly for newcomers to get involved. They are also very user friendly making them suitable for families and individuals of all ages. The way your angling equipment get setup also make these styles of fishing perfect for both day and longer fishing trips where anglers will camp in close proximity to their rods. One of the most important reasons for focusing on these specific angling styles is because they will be represented by the Australian Bank Anglers Federations who will provide talented and committed anglers with opportunities to compete on a National as well as a International level.
Appointed officials will peg the angling area, control the draw, and control the competition according to the prescribed rules. After conclusion, they will complete the competition forms and supervise the cleaning of the angling area.
New members, visitors and people who plan to join us on social media must please familiarize themselves with our club rules. These can be viewed on our Club Rules page or by making use of the download option at the bottom of this page.
